Freedom At Last! No More Extra Bills To Pay!

Today in the midst of an economic crisis, millions of Americans are finding themselves strapped with credit card debts that they can't manage. For many they have come to the place that if they pay off their monthly bills, there is nothing left to put food on the table. Add to that the loss of their job, and many have taken the lives of their family members and their own life as well. This is NOT the way to get rid of your credit card debts.

Stop using the credit cards with the highest interest rates. Let the credit card companies know that you want them to close your account so no one can make any more purchases on it. Tell them about your plans to pay it off as fast as you can. Leave the credit card with the lowest interest rate open, but put it in a drawer, and don't take it with you when you go shopping.

Make a commitment to yourself that you are going to do everything in your power to become debt free. Come to the place where you understand that you must sacrifice in order to meet your goal.

Write down a budget, and make sure you stay within its limits. Once you have listed all of your monthly expenses, check to see where you can cut expenses. Your goal is to use every bit of money you possibly can to put towards getting rid of your debts. For now you will need to forget about the extras.

Plan to live as inexpensively as you possibly can. The idea now is not to spend money on anything except the necessary things you need to stay alive. The best way not to spend is to stay out of stores, and out of internet sites that offer things for sale. Leave out any extra monthly expenses, even if they are things you enjoy.

Now you are ready to get rid of your debt. Make it your goal to pay off the card with the highest interest first, then the next highest card and on down to the lowest. Put every bit of extra money you can come up with during the month towards paying off your first card. Don't forget to make the minimum payment on your other cards. Once you eliminate the first card, add that money to the minimum you were paying on the second card. Continue the same process with each card.

It was easy for you to get into debt, but it won't be easy to get out of it. It will take every bit of sacrifice, determination and grit you can muster to become debt free. Your debt will begin to decrease incredibly fast if you follow these simple ideas.
