Since the year 1967 people have been enjoying and playing the game of ultimate frisbee. While just hanging out, a group of college students came up with the pastime. The beaches became a favorite place for people to not only enjoy the pastime and competition, but the weather as well. The Ultimate Players Association was formed in 1980. They recognized the different teams that wanted to take part in ultimate Frisbee. Official ultimate frisbee rules were also set up by this organization by which were implemented by all of the teams and games hosted by them. Today, Ultimate frisbee can be found spread out around the globe. It is still a sport that is extremely popular at the university level.
